Christmas Shopping 101

Well it's always fun to shop, but the wrapping is what I love to do.I take my time and make sure all the pictures and seams line up and it is folded perfectly, BUT this year is gotten outta hand. I just got done wrapping all my kids gifts and I counted them up to make sure they were all within a close amount of each other, when I was finished I couldn't believe that I had bought sooooo much stuff. Here's what I ended up with. "A"- 25, "E"-21 & "J"-19. That's way to many things to get from your parents and Santa, plus they are still getting from all there other family members. I have come up with a plan though, I am going through their toys and getting rid of 90% of them. I will donate them to some charity. If anyone know of kids who could use some toys let me know. I thought that I could save them till spring then have a yard sale, but then I realized that I would never end up having one and then I would have stored all the toys for no reason. I mean we buy all year round, so it never seems like it's that much but there comes a time when we as parents need to put a limit on the number of gifts we buy our kids. I think that next year we are going to go with like 5 gifts from us and 5 from Santa. When they are older and start asking for more expensive things then we will put a dollar amount not a gift amount. I cant believe that there is soo many gifts, really! What are we going to do when it comes time to put them all under the tree??? I just am kinda ashamed of myself I guess. There are so many kids out there that don't get a Christmas and here we are getting so much stuff that our kids wont even play with half of it, I'm sure.
